In March 2023, I was contact by Nigel Richardson, a freelance travel writer who had been commissioned by the Daily Telegraph to write an article about the Monarch’s Way, possibly for the Coronation Day Travel Section. He wanted someone with knowledge of the route to provide some background and I was happy to help. In the end the article appeared in the on-line edition of the paper but did not make it to print which was rather a shame as it is a very entertaining piece.
