At the request of JT, secretary of the Monarch’s Way Association, I am in the process of writing a series of history articles for the six-monthly newsletter of the Association. My approach is to take a chapter from the guidebooks and to elaborate of the historical connections, both connected with the route and wider. These articles are reproduced below:
